Yukon explorer that made a new and largely overlooked discovery in 2011. Its Betty property, optioned from Shawn Ryan in December 2010, has similar gold in soil and rocks as Kaminak’s Coffee Project across the river and on trend to the West. With its healthy treasury Ethos will be drilling the trenches as well as gold anomalies aggressively in 2012 with head honcho Gary Freeman claiming “We only need 1 hole to hit!”.
The Metal Augmentor Take »
The gold in soil anomaly discovered at Betty during sampling and follow-up trenching in late 2011 has revealed a possible analogy to both Kaminak’s Coffee and Sugar zones as well as the Golden Saddle deposit acquired by Kinross (which is what started the whole 21st Century Yukon gold rush). Ethos is planning to drill one hole a day beginning in May and this will be one of the most closely watched drill campaigns during 2012. Peter Tallman, COO, believes Ethos could potentially find the same style (and perhaps quantity) of gold mineralization in its gneiss as Kaminak has at Coffee.

Tallman [Ethos COO] is frank about what his threshold for success is: he said he wants to find a three million ounce gold deposit that grades around 3 g/t gold. That might be a worthy figure for anyone to keep in mind when judging remote gold projects. He isn’t interested in anything a half-million ounce in size. And he won’t plug away for years drilling for one. It’s the Pogo’s in Alaska Tallman wants to find, deposits that he and other explorers believe the Yukon has yet to reveal.
So far Ethos has drilled south of the Coffee fault, which plays an important roll in Kaminak’s gold project. But Tallman now has his eyes trained on sizeable targets, soil anomalies, to north of the fault. Could they hold the next big one?
